About Loud Shirt Day

What is Loud Shirt Day?

Loud Shirt Day is an Australia and New Zealand wide campaign which raises valuable funds to help children with hearing loss to learn to listen and speak. It was developed in 1998 by the Cora Barclay Centre in South Australia and has since become a national collaboration between hearing charities in every state who belong to the First Voice Alliance:

Loud Shirt Day has been around for almost 20 years now, but started as a brain storm meeting around a coffee table. In the last five years alone Loud Shirt Day fundraisers have raised over $1.2 million to enable children with hearing loss to reach their full potential in life, unlimited by their hearing loss.
